Manage linked progress measures

Apportioned progress measures record the percentage of the contract deliverable that has been completed, based on linked discrete pro rata progress measures.

The discrete pro rata progress measures can be on the same line item as the apportioned measure, or on different line items. To assist with linking, the discrete pro rata progress measures can be added to progress measure groups which can then be linked to apportioned progress measures - see Progress measure groups for more information.

If a line item has apportioned progress measures, they must have discrete pro rata progress measures linked to them before the line item can be used.

You can link progress measures directly in AVEVA Contract Risk Management (described below) or in the Contract Setup spreadsheet to be imported. See Import contract setup data.

To manage the progress measures linked to an apportioned progress measure:

1. If necessary, expand the list of line items for the parent breakdown item on the Contract Breakdown tab of the contract.

2. Expand the list of progress measures for the parent line item.

3. Click the drop-down arrow for the apportioned progress measure, and select Manage Progress Measures from the menu.

   The Manage Progress Measures dialog box is displayed. By default the Progress Measures view is selected, listing all the discrete pro rata progress measures which are available to be linked to the apportioned progress measure.

   You can use the drop-down list to display the available progress measures or the available groups. You can also display either Linked, Unlinked or All.

   Filter the progress measures and groups by typing part of the title. Click the button to expand the search box, and type the search text.

4. Select the progress measures and groups that you want to associate with the apportioned progress measure.

   You cannot select progress measures or groups that are linked to another apportioned progress measure for which the line item is already in use.

   If you select a group on the Progress Measure Groups view, its progress measures are automatically selected and will be shown on the Progress Measures view with selected check boxes that you cannot clear - you must clear the group.

   However, if you select a progress measure which belongs to a group while in the Progress Measures view, this does not affect the group selection.

5. Clear the check boxes for any progress measures and groups you want to unlink from the apportioned progress measure.

6. Click Save.

   The Contract Breakdown tab is displayed with a confirmation message.
