Resolve Commit MES Transaction Activity

  • Last UpdatedNov 14, 2023
  • 2 minute read

While installing a package, if the workflow activity contains a Commit MES Transaction Activity, you can change the Unique Environment Name and Middleware Machine Name properties in the target environment. If the workflow contains a Commit MES Transaction Activity, the Resolve Activity Properties grid to configure the details of the Unique Environment Name and Middleware Machine Name properties in the target environment appears towards the lower section of the settings form.

The Resolve Activity Properties grid contains the following fields:

  • Activity Name: Displays the name of the Commit MES Transaction Activity.

  • Property Name: Displays the property name. For example, Unique Environment Name or Middleware Machine Name.

  • Source Value: Displays the Unique Environment Name or Middleware Machine Name values in the source environment. You can use the same values for the target, or change the values as required.

  • Target Value: Enter the target values for Unique Environment Name and Middleware Machine Name in the target environment. You can also select these values from the Runtime Initialization Settings form. If you want to use the values as specified in the source, then leave this field blank.

Note:
- Ensure that AVEVA Work Tasks Extension for MES is installed in the target environment.
- When packages are upgraded from AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 or AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 to AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2, the workflows with transaction activities must be added again to the package template.
- For existing packages, whose transaction activities were configured earlier, the activity properties will not be automatically resolved. These activities will be displayed as custom activities, but their package functionalities will remain the same.
