BPMN Intermediate Event with Timer
The Intermediate Event with Timer represents the type of event that interrupts the process flow at a scheduled time. It is denoted by a clock symbol superimposed on the Intermediate Event symbol, that is the circle with the double outline.
Mapping of Visio BPMN Event to the AVEVA Work Tasks Activity
The Intermediate Event with the Timer trigger is mapped to the Wait Timer Activity, which is represented by the standard notation for Intermediate Events, that is a circle with a double outline filled with orange, with the clock symbol superimposed on it.
The following mapping will be used during the conversion:
-
Intermediate Event with Timer trigger will be mapped to the Wait Timer Activity.
-
If the Target attribute is specified then the activity should not be mapped to the Wait Timer activity; instead, it should be converted to a Link with Wait Timer as the Trigger for the event.
Validation
Wait Timer activity may be allowed to have no inlinks; in such a case it will be immediately executed after the Start Activity before the Start Activity proceeds to the next logical link.
