Open Inbox using WorkItemInboxCount

This section gives you step by step description on how to use the WorkItemInboxCount control to open Inbox:

Follow steps 1-7 listed in the Initial Steps and continue:

  1. Select the control in the editor and double-click. Select Configuration under Animations to configure the control. Set the properties as shown below:

  2. Right click the control and select Order -> Send Backward.

  3. Add a button and place it above the WorkItemInboxCount control. Select Value Display as highlighted in the image given below. The Text property of the button should be set as #. # would be replaced by the actual work item count during run-time.

  4. In the Value Display screen select Analog.

    The Galaxy browser window appears.

  5. Select PendingWorkItemsCount from the Element Browser tab.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Create a graphic symbol for Inbox.

  8. Deploy the respective Workflow Gateway Object.

  9. Double-click the $InTouchViewApp instance (aaReactorDemo) under ViewEngine from the System Platform IDE.

  10. Click File -> New Window. Add a new window named Inbox.

  11. Open the Galaxy Browser.

  12. Select the respective Workflow Gateway Object.

  13. Select the Inbox graphic symbol and then click OK.

  14. Save and close the Inbox window.

  15. Click File -> New Window and add a new window named InboxCount.

  16. Open the Galaxy Browser.

  17. Select the respective Workflow Gateway Object.

  18. Select the WorkItemInboxCount graphic symbol and then click OK.

  19. InboxCount screen appears. Right click the button and select Animation Links.

  20. Click Action in the screen which appears.

  21. Select the Condition Type as On Left Click/Key Down and write the script as Show "Inbox".

  22. Click OK.

  23. Click the Runtime button on the right hand side.

    The InboxCount window appears.

  24. Navigate to Special -> Security -> Log On.

  25. The login screen appears. Enter User Name and Password. Click OK.

  26. The actual work item count gets updated. Click the button to open the Inbox.

  27. The Inbox screen appears.
