AVEVA Identity Manager

The AVEVA Identity Manager (AIM) provides a mechanism that handles user authentication requirements. It issues a access token to a workflow engine server registered as a client , requesting access to a secure software application.

Enabling AVEVA Identity Manager to be used with AVEVA Work Tasks

The following image shows the essential steps required to enable AIM with AVEVA Work Tasks:

Step 1: Install and Configure AVEVA Work Tasks

• Install and configure AVEVA Work Tasks. For more information about installing and configuring workflow, see Installing Wonderware Skelta BPM.

Step 2: Register AVEVA Work Tasks as a client in AIM

• Register AVEVA Work Tasks as a client in AIM. For more information about registering as a client, see Configuring and Registering Token Service.

Step 3: Configure and Invoke a Web API

• Configure Web API with access token authentication from the Web API list.

• Invoke the Web API with access token authentication from the Invoke Web API Activity. For more information about configuring and invoking a Web API, see Web API with AIM Authentication.
