Mail Server
The Mail Server settings identify the mail server to be used by the AVEVA Work Tasks Communication Service for receiving emails.

This field is used to provide the IP address of the Work Tasks communication server. |

This field is used to enter the Port number used by the Work Tasks communication server. The default port is 25. |

POP3 |
This option is selected to setup POP3 mail servers. |

POP3 Host |
This field is used to enter the IP address of the POP Mail Host. |

POP3 Time Interval |
This field is used to set the time interval to check the mail server for emails. The format for this field is day.hour.minute.seconds. The default POP time is 0.00:00:15. |

POP3 Port |
This field is used to enter the port number for receiving emails. The default POP Mail Port is 110. |
|

Is SSL Enabled? |
This field is used to specify if a Secure Password Authentication is provided. Default value is false. |

Add Users |
The table is used to enter the User Name (email address) and Password of POP3 users. The Communication Engine makes use of this email address. To add another user, click Add User. |

You can use the email server settings for sending and receiving emails.
Activities specific to sending emails comprises:

Change mail server for sending email

Setting "From email address" globally and at Repository level
Activities specific to receiving emails comprises:

Changing mail channel/email receiver settings

Changing POP3 password

Adding another user to receive emails
If you choose Default, the Communication Service will act like a mail server. All mails received by the Communication Service will be forwarded to the specific Workflow for processing.
If POP3 is not enabled in mail server, then the Default option can be used for getting the emails.
Complete the following settings to configure the default options:

Select Default option.

Set Listener IP Address under Communication Server tab and AVEVA Work Tasks Communication Service Server IP under Mail Server tab with the IP address of the machine where the Communication Service is installed (that is, AVEVA Work Tasks Server).

Create an Email ID in exchange server.

Forward all mails coming to this email Id to a new email ID. The new mail ID should be in user@[IPAddressOfWorkflowManagementMachine] format.
user: Name of the user.
IPAddressOfWorkflow ManagementMachine: This should be the one configured in step 2.
In an Enterprise Server environment, you must create a machine specific email account for all the engines. The mails should be forwarded to all the engines.
