Install Client Service

This topic provides information to install SKClientSrv.exe (AVEVA Work Tasks Client Service) in services.msc. This installation is required for the Services to function. In the case of default AVEVA Work Tasks installation, the Client service is installed by default. However, for custom installation the Client service have to be manually installed.

To install the Client Service

1. Open Microsoft Visual Studio Command Prompt.

2. Type installutil -i "<drive>:\<custom_folder_path>\Bin\SKClientSrv.exe".

3. Press Enter.

The [AVEVA Work Tasks Installed Path]\AVEVA\Work Tasks\Bin\SKClientSrv.exe path displayed in the image above may vary and depends on the Custom installation path selected in Step 1 of the section Add an Installation Path. This service can start only after installing the Farm Server/Client.
