BPMN Intermediate Event with Compensation
The Intermediate Event with Compensation represents the type of event that interrupts the process flow when a transaction compensation event is encountered. It is denoted by a left-pointing double arrowhead symbol superimposed on the Intermediate Event symbol, that is the circle with the double outline.
Mapping of Visio BPMN Event to the AVEVA Work Tasks Activity
The Intermediate Event with the Compensation trigger is mapped to the On Compensation Activity, which is represented by the standard notation for Intermediate Events, that is a circle with a double outline filled with orange, with a left-pointing double arrowhead symbol superimposed on it.
The following mapping will be used during the conversion:
-
Intermediate Event with Compensation trigger will be mapped to the On Compensation Activity.
-
If the Target attribute is specified then the activity should not be mapped to the On Compensation activity; instead, it should be converted to a Link with On Compensation as the Trigger for the event.
Validation
-
On Compensation activity may be allowed to have no inlinks; in such a case it will be immediately executed after the Start Activity before the Start Activity proceeds to the next logical link.
-
On Compensation must be placed in a process that is marked as transactional.
-
On Compensation, if used as an event trigger, must be attached to a task or activity that is marked as transactional.
