BPMN End Event with Message

The End Event with Message represents the type of event that generates a message after ending the process flow. It is denoted by an envelope symbol superimposed on the End Event symbol, i.e. the circle with thick outline.

Mapping of Visio BPMN Event to the AVEVA Work Tasks Activity

The End Event with the Message result attribute is mapped to the End with Message Activity, which is represented by a red circle similar to the End Activity superimposed with an envelope symbol similar to the corresponding BPMN notation. The End with Message Activity is identical to the Email Activity, and is used to end the process logically while notifying some user about the end.

The following mapping will be used during the conversion:

Only the End Events with the Message result attribute and no outlinks will be mapped to the End with Message Activity.

Validation

Outlinks (links originating from the activity) are not allowed from the End with Message Activity.
