Verify Installation

After you install AVEVA Work Tasks, verify that the product is installed successfully. To verify successful installation, create a simple Workflow using Process Designer. The tasks includes the following:

To create a Workflow

Log on to the Enterprise Console.

If the Repository is configured for Active Directory provider, go to step 4.

Enter the User Name and Password.
The User Name and Password will be validated with the user provider selected while creating the repository.
The default authentication provider is the Repository User Provider List.

In the Enterprise Console, click
menu icon.
All features can only be available for a user with administrative privileges.

From the menu, select Workflows.
The Workflow window appears.

On the Action bar, click New, and then click Workflow.
The New Workflow window appears.

Enter Title and Description.
-
Click Save & Continue.
The successful message appears.

Select Design the Workflow now.
This is the default option.

Click Finish.
The Process Designer window appears.

From the activities pane on the left, drag the Information activity to the Process Designer window.

The activity Information1 is created.
Click
to create a link between two activities.
The Link Action window appears.

Select from the From Action drop-down box.
-
Select from the To Action drop-down box.
-
Click OK.
The link is established.

Right-click Information1.
-
Select Activity Properties from the context menu.
The Activity Properties pane appears.

Enter Name and Description.

Click
to Assign Actor(s).
The Assign Actor(s) window appears.

Select the required provider from the Providers drop-down list.

Select values from the drop-down list.
-
Click Add.
-
Click Update.
-

Click
to enter the Subject for Notification Contents.
The window to enter subject for notification appears.

Click Update.
-
Click
to enter the Body for Notification Contents.
The window to enter the Body content appears.

Click Update.
-
From the Activity Properties pane, click Save.
To publish the Workflow

On the Publish menu, click Publish.
The Published successful message appears.

Close the dialog box.
The Enterprise Console screen lists the workflow created.
To test the Workflow

Select the listed workflow.

Right-click the selected workflow.
-
Click Publish and Test Run.
The Status Finished successfully appears.
If Status is Execution Pending in the Process Execution window, then click on the Refresh button to get the status.

In the Enterprise Console menu, select Inbox.
The Inbox lists the work item.

Click to view the work item listed.
This indicates that the installation is successful.
