Run-time Behavior of Channels and Forms

If a HWS Activity configured for Channels and Forms gets executed as part of a workflow process, the workflow engine delivers the corresponding Work Item on all the associated Forms. When the assigned Actor performs the necessary action in any one Form, the workflow engine announces this to all other Channels. These Channels will then take the appropriate compensation action(s). For example, if the Actor responds using the Skelta Web Work Item List Form, then the workflow engine announces this to the other Channels. When a Work Item has already been acted on by the Actor in one Form and does so again from another Form, the workflow engine can detect this redundant response and notify the Actor accordingly. It will display a message such as, "This is an invalid response as you have already taken the required action."
