Deploy Quickflow

You can deploy the Quickflow Engine using the Central Configuration page.

Prerequisites

  • Install AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2. For more information on what you need to do prior to deploying a Quickflow Engine, see Prerequisites.

To deploy Quickflow Engine

  1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to AVEVA, and then Central Configuration.

  2. Click Quickflow Settings.

    The Quickflow page appears.

  3. Enter the following details under Message Broker Details section:

    • URI: Enter the URI of the server where Message Broker is installed. URI is the machine name or the IP address of the machine (e.g. 192.168.0.100).

    • User Name: Enter the user name of the Message Broker server. The user name should not include space.

    • Password: Enter the password of the Message Broker server. The password should not include space.

    • Port: Enter the port for Message Broker server. You cannot enter the port number that is already used by other application.

    • AMQPS: Select the check box for the secured connection with Message Broker server.

      Note:
      - If you use Azure service bus, select the AMQPS check box and provide the Azure bus Uri and the credentials.
      - If you use other Message Brokers, uncheck the AMQPS check box and enter the Uri of the server where Message Broker is installed. Uri is the machine name or the IP address of the machine.

    • Token Service: Select the registered AIM token service.

      Note:
      - If you access Central Configuration using Microsoft Entra authentication, then deploy Quickflow using AAD token.
      -If you reconfigure the Token service, then Quickflow must also be re-deployed. The System Management Server (SMS) must be online during reconfiguration of Token service and redeployment of Quickflow.

  4. Enter the following details under Server Details section:

    • Server Name: Displays the list of AVEVA Work Tasks servers available.

    • Https Port: Enter the port number for the server.

    • Certificate: Select the valid certificate file.

    • Password: Enter the password of the attached certificate.

      Note:
      - When you redeploy the Quickflow, ensure to select the Certificate again while deploying.
      - You cannot update the Server Details section, if you have selected the Secure Web Sites option while configuring Security Settings in Farm Configuration Wizard. The configured Security Settings details will be considered while deploying Quickflow.

  5. Click Deploy.

    The Quickflow application gets integrated in the AVEVA Work Tasks system.

    Note:
    - When the AVEVA Work Tasks - Client Service is restarted, the Quickflow application pool should be started again.
    - If the Quickflow deployment fails, see the Troubleshoot section.
    - If the execution time exceeds 10 seconds, the Quickflow fails showing an error.

After the Quickflow is successfully deployed, ensure that:

  • Quickflow Status Monitor service is installed and running.

  • Quickflow web application is created under the "AVEVAWorkTasksSites" site.
