Upgrade Scenarios

The following are the upgrade scenarios:

• Upgrade in Standalone Environment

• Upgrade in Client - Server Environment

• Upgrade in Enterprise Server Environment

Note

- The upgrade from AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 or AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 to AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2 can be performed only after upgrading to AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 or AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 from any of the previous versions.

- This upgrade executes faster on computers with Windows Installer version 5.0. However, in computers with Windows Installer version 4.5 and lower, the upgrade process might take 40 to 45 minutes approximately, based on the configuration of the computer. This is due to the InstallValidate sequence which runs during the upgrade process and compares all the AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 and AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 SP1 files with AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2 files.
