AVEVA™ Work Tasks

Resolve Redirect URL

  • Last UpdatedJul 01, 2024
  • 2 minute read

While installing a package, if the workflow activity contains a Redirect URL property, you can change the URL or path in the target environment. If the workflow contains a redirect URL property, the Resolve Activity Properties grid to configure the details of the redirect URL in the target environment appears towards the lower section of the settings form.

The grid contains the following fields:

  • Activity Name: Displays the name of the activity that contains the Redirect URL.

  • Property Name: Displays the property name. For example, Redirect URL.

  • Source Value: Displays the URL or path values in the source environment. You can use the same values for the target, or change the values as required.

  • Target Value: Displays the URL or path values in the target environment. You can use the same values as that in the source, or change the values as required. You can select multiple properties with the same URL.

You must not change the form definition. Consider that a form is an associated artifact of a custom URL. When you install the package, the target version of the form might not be same as the source version. You must manually specify the target version. For example, you have a form with two versions, v1 and v2. While installing form v2, the target version of the form might be v1 or vx, based on the availability of the form version in the target.

You can also enter the URL of any customized .aspx page. Ensure the validity of the custom URL as the URL is not validated while installing package.

If you create multiple activities using the same URL, ensure that you enter the same URL in the Source URL or Target URL field. Even a small change in the URL will list the activities in different rows.
