To create a new report template item

On the action bar, click New. The New Report Template wizard appears.

New Report Templates - Properties

Title: Title for a new Report Template. The text entered in this text box cannot be edited as this is a unique text box.
Note: Title cannot contain special characters such as # ~ & + \ " ' < > | @ ! $ % * ( ) = / { } ?

Description: The description for the Report Template.
Note: Description cannot contain special characters such as # ~ & + \ " ' < > | @ ! $ % * ( ) = / { } ?

Connection: Select the required Report Connection from the drop-down list of available connections created in the Report Connection list.

Path: Enter the path where all the report templates are stored. If the path has been mentioned while creating a Report Connection, then the path is populated in this text box upon selecting that Report Connection. The user can change this path and give a different path.

Get Report Template: By clicking on the Get Report Template button, the available report templates will be populated in the Report Template text box.

Report Template: Select the required report template.

Save: This property is to save the entries made.

Click Save to store the details. If the report connection is successful, then the report template will be saved successfully. The new report template appears in the Report Template list window.
