Set up Email Addresses for Repositories

Email addresses to be used to send emails from AVEVA Work Tasks are specified in the Email Settings field in Repository Management and in the Farm Configuration Wizard.

Email settings specified at the repository level, farm and activity levels are used as follows:

• Activities using mail channel: Emails are sent from the email address specified for the repository.

• Send email activity: The email address specified in the action property is used.

• Exception Email: All exceptions logged in the console will be emailed to the mail address configured in Farm Configuration Global Settings in the "From mail" and "To mail" fields.

• Exception emails during activity execution are sent to the address configured in the "From mail" and "To mail" fields of the repository. Exception email will be sent to the Submitted by user if the workflow initiation fails in the engine.

• Repository "From mail": It is used to send activity mail to the actor.

• Action Property "From Email Address": It is used for sending information (like adding the task) to the actor.

  Note: The "From mail" address must match the "From" address configured in the SMTP settings.
