Additional Package Files

The Additional Package Files option allows you to add additional custom files and installer files to be installed in the target environment This option is available in the Add to Package Template and/or Edit Package Template pages.
To add Additional Package Files and Installer Files

Select and right-click the artifact that you want to package, and then click Add to Package Template on the shortcut menu. The Select Package Template page appears.

Select the Package Template.

Select Package Template Version, Include Associated Artifacts, Include Child Artifacts, Include Security Artifacts, and Include the automatically generated SQL Script.

Click Next. The Add to Package Template page appears.

In the Configuration section, click Additional Package Files.
The Additional Package Files page appears on the right pane.

Select the option Disable adding custom files to the package as Yes, if you do not want to include the individual artifact's custom dependent files and additional files while generating the package.
The custom dependent files and additional files will be visible in the Settings page. But these files will not be included while generating the package.

Click + icon to add and configure the additional package files and the installer files.
Note: Configuring additional package files is optional. You need not configure additional package files prior to configuring the Installer Files.

To configure the additional package files, enter the following details:

Source Files: Enter the location of the package file.

Install in Global Assembly Cache: Select Yes to install custom dependent files in the GAC of the target environment.

To configure the installer files, enter the following details:

Installer File Path: Enter the location of the installer file.

Command Line Parameters: Enter the command line parameters for the installer file.

Disable Execution: Select the check box to skip execution of the Installer File. (This option is available only in Manage Package feature.)

Click Save Settings.

Click Save Template.
The package template settings are saved.
Note: Ensure that the File Path specified is accessible to IIS_IUSRS.
