  • Use the Attach Datasource feature provided in Central Configuration to get the Archived database repositories.

To attach existing archived repository datasource, do the following steps:

    1. Take a backup of the Archived database and recover this database in the Database Server. For example, the restored database name is BackedUpdatabase.

    2. Create a new Datasource and use the same database created in step a.

Example: Datasource is created with the name ‘BackedupDatasource’. The restored database, named ‘BackedUpdatabase’, is used to create this datasource.

    3. Create a new repository for the datasource created in step b.

      1. Select the Attach Datasource check box. Select the datasource created in Step b. This will list all the repositories of the selected data source.

      2. Provide a name to the repository and continue with creating the repository. Ensure that the Resource Provider for the new repository is same as the Resource Provider of the archived repository selected from the drop-down list.

Example: Select the Attach Datasource option. Select the BackedupDatasource from the Repository DataSource drop-down list. This will list all repositories of the BackedupDatasource. Select the repository which needs to be copied and then continue with repository creation. Ensure that the Resource Provider for the new repository is same as that of the Resource Provider selected for the archived repository.

You can view the BAM reports for the newly created repositories from the Enterprise Console.
