Workflows:

  1. Do not call the same workflow in a loop.

  2. Before importing the workflow that has a child workflow, ensure to change or remove the repository name (application) of the child workflow from the process definition XML, if the repository does not exist in the importing environment.

SOA:

Two SOA Assemblies cannot have the same assembly name or class name.

While attaching a backed up Repository DataSource, ensure that the source SOA assembly registration dlls are registered in the target computer. Any customizations in the source SOA assembly must be copied to the target computer before publishing the workflow.

Dashboard:

  1. In the dashboard, we recommend to use a Queue web part in the right zone.

  2. In the dashboard, if multiple Inbox web parts are used, we recommend to set the ReadingPaneinPopupWindow to true.

  3. In Mozilla Firefox, dashboard does not support web part drag and drop feature. Instead, use web part editor to move the web parts.

  4. Do not to use the same list with different views in the dashboard.

  5. We recommend the following configurations when multiple list web parts are displayed in dashboard:

    1. Disable Show Header and Show Ribbon bar properties.

    2. Use unique list view names across list web parts.

  6. To apply the list view, it is mandatory to enable the ShowListViews property for the list web part.

  7. List Views are recommended only for lists that are created with existing tables and not with generic tables.

  8. For better performance of list view, it is recommended not to use the same tables for multiple list tables in the list.

  9. To avoid multiple listing of the same items in list web part, it is recommended not to select the child table columns as grid columns for the list view.

  10. Avoid using special characters while  creating list folders.

  11. For the Expression Editor to work in Firefox, pressing the space bar or any other key as a first step.

    Web Parts:

    1. Web part title should not be more than 200 characters.

    2. Security Group Mapping in List Control Web Part should be used at List level and ListItem level.

    3. Mandatory configurations for Adding Multiple List Control Web Part in Dashboard are as follows:

      1. Disable the properties Show Header and Show Ribbon Bar.

      2. Use unique list view names across all the List Control Web Part.

      3. Create list views with All items enabled.

      4. If you create similar lists in multiple list control web parts placed in a single homepage, you might not be able to view the list views properly.

    4. We recommend to refresh the grid manually after creating items or folders in a grid.

    5. You can specify height and width in percentage or in pixels for all the web parts except the Queue Control web part. However, for the Forms List web part, you can specify the height and width in pixels alone.

    6. In a dashboard opened in Mozilla Firefox, you can move the web parts across the zones using the Web Editor.

    7. We recommend to use the following Web Parts only once in a homepage:

      1. Calendar controls

      2. Queue
