Configure Exception Mail Templates

You can configure the exception mail templates at the repository level.
There are two options to configure exception emails.

You can configure exception mail templates for two groups, Group A and Group B, both at the workflow level. Do one of the following:

Select an existing default or sample template

Use an editor
Based on the exception mail configuration, the members of each group will receive mails. There must be a notification to the users about the exception occurred in an activity. These users and the template for the exception mails can be configured in the Configuration for Exception Mail Template settings in the Central Configuration.

You can configure exception mail templates for two groups, Group A and Group B, both at the repository level.
It is not mandatory to set both user groups A and B.
For example, you can configure administrator users in Group A and normal users can be configured in Group B.
Do one of the following:

Based on the exception mail configuration, the members of each group will receive mails.
Place the template file in the ..\WorkflowElements\ExceptionTemplate folder. In the template file, place the placeholders in the html file.

To configure Exception Mail Template

Select the repository from the Repository Name drop-down list.

You can configure users in the User Lookup dialog box or the Role Lookup dialog box.
By default, the User is selected.

Click the User Lookup icon.

The User Lookup dialog box appears.

Select the required provider from the drop-down field.

Enter the name of the user in the Search For field.

Select the Display Name from the drop-down list.

Click Search.

All the users are listed in the Available Resources section.

Select the required user and click the right arrow to display the users in the Selected Resource section.

Click Update.

To configure a user through Role Lookup, select the Role radio button.

Enter the name of the required user, and click Search.
All the users are listed in the Available Resources section.

Select the required user and click the right arrow to display the users in the Selected Resource section.

Click Update.

The user’s name (either User or Role) appears in the Exception Mail Group A field.

Select the template from the Template File drop down list.
You can select either a Default template or a Sample template.

Follow the same steps to select a User or Role and a template for the Exception Mail Group B.

Click OK.
