Queue

This option in Replace User allows you to replace the participants of a queue with an alternate actor.

Functionality

• If the User to be Replaced is not a participant of any Queue, then the message User is not a part of this artifact will be displayed.

• If the User to be Replaced has picked up any work items, then it has to be manually forwarded to another user. In case the work items picked up by the User to be Replaced are not forwarded before replacing the user, a message indicating the same will be displayed and an entry will be logged in the logger.

• When both the User to be Replaced and Alternate User are the participants of the Queue, then the entry for the User to be Replaced will be removed and the entry for Alternate User will be retained.

• When only the User to be Replaced is a participant of the queue and the Alternate User is not a participant of the same queue, the Alternate User will be added as a participant of the queue and the entry for the User to be Replaced will be removed.

• When replacing the queue participant, the rights of the Alternate User will be updated to the rights of the User to be Replaced.

Example

1. Let the User to be Replaced be Lee and the Alternate User be Royan.

2. Lee has higher rights compared to Royan.

3. On replacing the User to be Replaced (Lee) with Alternate User (Royan), rights of Royan will be updated and will be the same as Lee. This action will also remove Lee from the Queue. Therefore, Royan will now have higher rights. In the above case, if Royan had higher rights when compared to Lee, Royan's rights will be updated and would be updated to what Lee had. Therefore, now Lee will have lesser rights.
