Complete the following steps to setup the Initial Gateway:

Notes: The screen captures shown here are from System Platform 2023 IDE.

  1. Open System Platform IDE.

  2. On the Galaxy menu, click Configure, and then click Security.

    The Security dialog box appears.

  3. On the Authentication Mode tab, change the authentication from None to Galaxy.

Note: Select OS User based or OS Group based to use system users or roles respectively. In such cases, configure users or roles under Users or Roles tab respectively.

  4. On the Users tab, click the Add button, enter a username, and then click Change Password.

The user is added, and the Change Password dialog box appears.

  5. In the New Password and Confirm New Password boxes enter a password for the user, and then click OK.

The password is saved for the user.

  6. On the Roles tab, Select Administrator, and then click OK.

  7. In the System Platform IDE, on the Galaxy menu, click Change User.

The Change User dialog box appears to log on with new user credentials

  8. To connect to a Galaxy, select the desired <Galaxy name> from the list. For instance, in this example, we are connecting to SP2023Galaxy.

  9. To import the objects, point to Import on the Galaxy menu, select Objects and then select From package.

    01_start_animate

The Import Objects from package dialog box appears.

  10. Open the AppObjects folder from the ..\<Archestra Installation Path>\Archestra\Workflow\ path.

  11. Select the WorkflowGateway file (for example, WorkflowGateway_90.1.aaPKG), and then click Open.

  12. In the Import Preferences dialog box, select the appropriate options.

  13. Click OK.

The Import Completed dialog box appears after the import completes.

  14. After the import is complete, close and re-start the IDE to ensure that the IDE extension appears.

To confirm that the IDE extension is enabled, verify that the Workflows tab for an object is visible. You will also see a Workflow-Toolbox tab in the Templates section.

If the Workflow-Toolbox is not visible, navigate to View menu and select Workflow-Toolbox.

If the Workflow-Toolbox or the Workflows tab does not appear, copy the DLLs manually from ..\<Archestra Installation Path>\Archestra\Workflow\IDE Extension to ..\<Archestra Installation Path>\Archestra\Framework\BIN\IDE Extensions.

After you copy the DLLs, restart the System Platform IDE to ensure that the Workflow-Toolbox and the Workflows tabs appear in the IDE.

  15. In the Galaxy menu, click Import to import the script library (ArchestrA.WorkflowScripts.dll) from the following path:

    • 64-bit machine: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Workflow\Script Library

  16. Right-click $WorkflowGateway, point to New, and then select Instance to create an instance of a workflow gateway.

The WorkflowGateway_001 instance is created under Unassigned Area in the Model Tagname section as shown in the following image:

If the WorkflowGateway object is created in the Unassigned Area, the user must drag it to the desired container.
