SOA Object Instances in Expression Editor

You can create simple expressions with the help of the Expression editor which is a user interface for creating expressions in AVEVA Work Tasks. With SOA integration, the Expression editor comes with a new node that shows all the instances created and methods available under each instance.

You can work with these methods or properties in the expression. With the new feature, even the update variable functionality can be achieved in expression just by choosing the workflow instance and ensuring that the variable name is equal to the method or property.

To use a method, just click on the method in the object browser and drop it in the editor area, if the method has a parameter which can be replaced from the object browser or the workflow instance.
