You use this feature to control the string messages that are logged into the logger files without making any change to the debug level.

Debug Level: The number of messages getting displayed in the logger console varies based on the Debug level set in the Farm Configuration Wizard.

  1. Open the Farm Configuration Wizard.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Select Service Settings, and then select Global Settings.

  4. Select Log/Transaction tab. Here you can select the Debug level from the drop-down list.

To know more about setting debug level, see Prerequisites section in the Administrator Guide.

Example Scenario:

Suppose the debug level is set as 2, and you want to restrict some messages containing text, for example, "Inserting Local Variables" from getting logged into the logger file without changing your current debug level.

  1. Create a new key in the AVEVA Work Tasks registry named "DoNotLogMessages" of type multi-string value.

  2. Specify the text of the messages which are to be ignored while writing to the log files.

  3. Restart the AVEVA Work Tasks services.

Note: These steps control the string messages logged into the AVEVA Work Tasks log files. The same messages appears in the Logger Console.
