Advantages

It is possible to secure AVEVA Work Tasks Databases behind a firewall
Better performance is obtained from the database-intensive AVEVA Work Tasks Solution by hosting the Databases on a different machine
High CPU utilization due to load on Web applications does not affect the performance of AVEVA Work Tasks Workflow Engine

Disadvantages

Load Balancing is not possible
Scale out of AVEVA Work Tasks Workflow Engine service is not possible
