In the user lookup, selecting a provider displays the localized provider property display texts in the drop down.
Pre-requisite
Follow the steps given in the following link Steps to Localize AVEVA Work Tasks.
Localizing Provider Property Display Text
The provider property display text is localized from the localization files. The key in the localization files is "<provider type>.<provider property display text>". If the key is found in the localization files, then the value would be picked from there; else it would use the "<provider property display text>".
For Eg: Examine the part of the data source provider XML for active directory:
<dataproviders>
<provider name="activedirectory" type="activedirectory">
<properties>
<property name="name" type="string" displayname="Resource ID" entitymappedproperty="UserName"/>
<property name="sAMAccountName" persistcolumn="UserIDString" type="string" purpose="identifier" displayname="Account Name" entitymappedproperty="UserId"/>
:
<property name="department" type="string" purpose="department" displayname="Department" entitymappedproperty="UserDepartment"/>
:
</provider>
</dataproviders>
From the above XML part, the "<provider type>" value is "activedirectory", and the "<provider property display text>" values are "Resource ID", "UserIDString", and "Department".
AVEVA Work Tasks has given localization key for two of the above property display texts from the xml part in the localization files as below:
activedirectory.Resource ID:Name
activedirectory.Account Name:Id
The bold text is the key in the localization file.
But since there is no entry for "Department" property display text, it would use the same display text, i.e., "Department".
Similar localization can be performed for provider property display texts if required.
Supported special characters for user and role lookup are:
: . / \ | } { ( ) + ' * ^ % @ ! ~ ` - _
