AVEVA™ Work Tasks

Client Connection License for System Platform IDE

  • Last UpdatedJun 06, 2024
  • 1 minute read

In System Platform IDE, the Workflow Gateway object must be selected to browse the Enterprise Console menu. After the Enterprise Console menu is loaded in the System Platform IDE, any page can be loaded. Before the page is loaded, the Client Connection License is acquired. If the license is available, then the selected page is loaded successfully. However, if the license is not available, a blank page is displayed.

For multiple users to browse the AVEVA Work Tasks controls in System Platform IDE from the same device, separate Client Connection Licenses should be acquired..

Note:
- You can view the details of the consumed licenses from the Usage Summary tab in the AVEVA License Manager Portal.
- If you have acquired the license to access the controls and then you log out or exit, the Client Connection License is not released. The acquired license is available only after 20 minutes for the other user to use.

The Device ID maintained for the connection is a combination of the following:

  • IP address (IPV6 or IPV4) of the machine from which the user logs on to the Enterprise Console

  • IDE

For example: If user "John" logs in to the Enterprise Console in the System Platform IDE, then the Device ID is displayed as 10.13.200.120$IDE.

Where:

  • IP Address is 10.13.200.120

  • IDE

  • $ is the separator

Releasing Client Connection License for System Platform IDE
