To configure the AVEVA Work Tasks Communication Service for processing emails, you must set attributes. The properties can be set from the Farm Configuration wizard by clicking the Settings image next to Communication Service.

On clicking icon, the Communication Service Settings window is displayed.

Communication Server

Under the Communication Server tab, you need to configure the following fields:

  1. Listener IP Address  - The IP Address of the Service.

  2. Port - The Port assigned to the Service.

  3. Wait Task Handler Path - The Assembly path for handling timeout task & handler for received email (this is used for customization).

  4. Wait Task Handler Class - The Class name for handling timeout task & handler for received email (this is used for customization).

  5. Block mail Addresses - The Communication Service will not process mails coming from these addresses like abc@dom1.com.

Enterprise Server

Under the Enterprise Server settings section of the Communication Server tab, you need to configure the following fields:

  1. Load Balanced  - This field is used to set load balancing for AVEVA Work Tasks. This field is enabled only for the Load Balanced Server installation. To enable load balancing set the Load Balanced value to true.

  2. Load Balanced Server Port - This field denotes the port number used by Enterprise Server. This value must be modified if the default port value is in use.

  3. Load Balanced Client Port - This field is used to enter the port number for the Client.

    Mail Server

Mail Server configuration is moved to Central Configuration. To configure mail server, see Mail Server Setting.

    Supporting Matrix POP3 Service

Assume that,  there are two POP3 service providers are running. By default, the first POP3 service is being used.  If this POP3 service is stopped and can not be restarted then use the alternate Matrix POP3 service which is running.

To do so, the machine name/IP address of the machine where the Matrix POP3 service is running needs to be provided in the POP Mail Host field of the Mail Server tab of the Farm Configuration wizard window.
