Q1: How to add an FTP folder to the File Watcher?

Ans: File Watcher can be configured to a network path which is mapped to the FTP folder.

For example, consider the network path \\ServerName\Sharedfolder is an FTP folder. You can associate this folder path to the File Watcher, and then can use the FTP folder for file operations. If the FTP site for the share folder is ftp://220.227.90.135/Sharedfolder/, then you can add the network path (UNC format) to the list. When external users perform any file operations on this FTP folder through FTP access, then the workflow gets triggered.

Since FTP access is not direct, authentication is not required as the Folder (Network/Local) access rights are enough.

Q2: Is it possible to give more than one file pattern?

Ans: Only one file pattern can be specified but the user can add multiple associations with different file patterns.

Q3: Are special characters are allowed for folder names?

Ans: Yes. The only special characters you can use in folder names are space and underscore.
