Not Authorized to Access Site Error

Issue

While opening the Central Configuration, the following error message appears:

You are not authorized to access this site. You need to be a member of Group Administrators or WorkflowManagementAdmins.

Probable Cause

The user who is accessing the Central Configuration is actually not a member of Administrators or AVEVA Work Tasks Admins group.

or

Anonymous Access to the Central Configuration is enabled.

Solution

The user accessing Central Configuration needs to be a member of the Administrators group for the machine.

Anonymous access rights for the CentralConfig site should be removed from IIS.

Steps

1. Click Start > Run.

2. Type inetmgr > Enter.

3. In the IIS, right click on the CentralConfig site > Directory Security > Edit. The Authentication Methods screen appears.

4. Uncheck Enable anonymous access. The site should use only Integrated Windows Authentication.

5. Click OK.
