Exception Messages

This topic describes some of the exception messages that appear in AVEVA Work Tasks.

If the password in Active Directory is modified, you can see the following error message when you access the Central Configuration:

Cannot proceed further. A valid connection to the AVEVA Work Tasks Farm could not be established. Check the Database User setting specified in AVEVA Work Tasks Farm Configuration Wizard and MSDTC Settings.

You can also see the error message in the logger console as follows:

If the password in Active Directory is modified, you see the following error message when you access the Farm Configuration Wizard:

A valid connection to AVEVA Work Tasks database could not be established. Would you like to change the Database User Settings?

The Logger Console (related to the Farm Configuration Wizard) displays the following message:

To resolve the above issue, follow the steps given below:

  1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to AVEVA, and then click Farm Configuration Wizard.

    The Welcome to the AVEVA Work Tasks Configuration Wizard appears.

  2. Click Next.

  3. The Edit AVEVA Work Tasks Farm settings screen appears.

  4. Select Database User Settings.

  5. Click Next. The Database User Settings screen appears.

  6. Update the User Name, Password, and Domain.

  7. Click OK. A message to ensure that the login has required permissions appears.

  8. Click OK. A message indicating Database User settings edited successfully appears.

  9. Click OK.
