BPMN Task Activity
The BPMN Task Activity is represented by a rounded rectangle shape. It is used to denote a logical task and may not do anything at runtime. For actual execution or implementation it has to be replaced by an appropriate human activity or any other suitable action in the AVEVA Work Tasks process definition.
This action will have the following properties:
-
Task Type value, which is a string property where the appropriate value could be typed
-
Marker Attributes, which will be used to show appropriate markers on the task shape
-
Loop Type: One, Standard, Multiinstance
-
Adhoc Task: Yes/No
-
Compensating Task: Yes/No
-
-
Possible Outputs, which is a grid of strings
-
Force Output During Run, which determines if the output link is to be traversed during run time.
Mapping of Visio BPMN Notation to AVEVA Work Tasks Activities
-
The imported BPMN Task Activity is generally converted to an appropriate action in AVEVA Work Tasks.
-
The following mapping will be used during the conversion:
-
Receive Task will be converted to Host Web Service and Wait Call Activity.
-
Send Task will be converted to Call Web Service Activity.
-
User Task will be converted to Task Activity.
-
Script Task will be converted to Script Activity.
-
Manual Task will remain a BPMN Task activity within the process.
-
Reference Task will also remain a BPMN Task activity within the process.
-
Any other value will be mapped to see if a corresponding activity exists in AVEVA Work Tasks and if it does the said Activity will be created during import.
-
In case the value does not match any of the above, it will remain a BPMN Task within AVEVA Work Tasks.
-
Validation
No specific validations will be performed on the BPMN Task Activity in AVEVA Work Tasks.
