Change Web Site Settings

The Farm Configuration Wizard allows you to install either the Central Configuration or the Enterprise Console on the AVEVA Work Tasks Client machines. This topic provides steps to configure these Web site settings:

  • Changing IIS path for the Central Configuration Web site

  • Changing IIS path for the Enterprise Console Web site

    Note: A Fully Qualified Domain Name will be displayed while configuring Enterprise Console (EC) and Central Config (CC) sites for the fresh installation of the product.
    When the product is upgraded, the existing EC and CC sites will remain the same.
    The new EC and CC sites created after the upgrade will have the Fully Qualified Domain Name.

To change IIS path for the Central Configuration Web site

  1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to AVEVA, and then click Farm Configuration Wizard.

    The Welcome to the AVEVA Work Tasks Configuration Wizard screen appears.

  2. Click Next.

    The Edit AVEVA Work Tasks Farm Settings window is displayed.

  3. Select Service settings.

    The Enterprise Server Settings can be selected if the Farm Server Installation is using Enterprise Server Installation.

  4. Click Next.

    The Services and Settings page appears.

  5. Click against Central Configuration to edit AVEVA Work Tasks Central Configuration settings.

    The Central Configuration Settings page appears.

    • http/https: This option enables you to determine if you want a secured (https) or a non-secured site (http).

      Note: The application does not support HTTP for Microsoft Entra authentication.

    • Create at: This field allows you to provide the Internet Information Service (IIS) path where the new site is created.

    • Port Number: This field is used to provide a port number for the Central Configuration.

  6. Click against Create at to change the path of the Central Configuration.

    A message indicating that if the path has been changed the Central Configuration will no longer be accessible appears.

  7. Click Yes.

    The IIS structure screen is displayed. Select the desired IIS path for the Central Configuration.

  8. Click OK.

    The selected URL appears in the Central Configuration Settings screen.

  9. Click OK.

To change the IIS path for the Enterprise Console Web site

  1. Follow the steps from 1 to 5 as indicated for the Central Configuration above.

  2. Click against Enterprise Console option.

    The settings for the selected Enterprise Console appears.

  3. Select the row in the Existing Enterprise Consoles table.

  4. Click Delete.

    A prompt appears to confirm the deletion.

  5. Click against Create at.

    The IIS structure screen appears.

  6. Select the required IIS path for Enterprise Console.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Click OK.

    Note: Central Configuration and Enterprise Console cannot be accessed in Chrome browser when configured with unsecured access (http://) for Microsoft Entra authentication type.
