AVEVA Work Tasks Connector for System Platform has a single installer for 64-bit computers. This installer should be installed on the GR Node of System Platform. It creates a Workflow folder under the ArchestrA installed path and stores the required dll files.

Note:
- AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R3 Connector for System Platform requires .Net framework 4.8 as a pre-requisite component.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2 control is used instead of IE Web Browser control in AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2 Connector for System Platform and AVEVA InTouch. Ensure that Microsoft Edge WebView2 is installed on your machine. To download, access https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/ link.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime should be installed in AOS nodes to view Enterprise Console pages in System Platform IDE and Work Tasks controls in InTouch HMI.

The AVEVA Work Tasks Connector for System Platform plugs inside the System Platform server. It adds the following major components in System Platform IDE:

  • WorkflowGateway AppObject

  • AVEVA Work Tasks Enterprise Console menus and Content pages

  • Adds a tab called Workflow for each and every Application Object. It is used to create events and associate workflow to those events.

In case of fresh installation, AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R3 Connector for System Platform is compatible with the following:

  • AVEVA System Platform 2023 R2 SP1

See the Product Compatibility for the System Platform compatibility information.

Note:AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2 is bundled with AVEVA PCS version 8.1.2, which leverages Microsoft Edge WebView2. Additionally, the AVEVA Work Tasks Connector for System Platform version 2023 R2 also utilizes Microsoft Edge WebView2. In this release, AVEVA has not disabled the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen feature as part of its use of Microsoft Edge WebView2.
The Microsoft Defender SmartScreen feature collects and transmits user information to Microsoft, as detailed in Microsoft’s Privacy Statement and Microsoft Edge Privacy Whitepaper.
For additional details, refer to Microsoft documentation on Data and Privacy in WebView2. Customers can disable the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen feature during the installation of AVEVA Work Tasks Connector for System Platform. Instructions for disabling this feature are available in the Microsoft support documentation.
