BPMN Intermediate Events
Intermediate Events are usually placed at the boundary of an activity. They denote
the triggers that can interrupt the activity. The activity will stop executing and
the process flow will be rerouted from the Event. The different types of Intermediate
Event are Timer, Exceptions, Messages. The Intermediate Event is represented by a
circle with a double outline. It is empty if the event does not have any result. If
there are results they are represented by different symbols for each result attribute,
which will be superimposed on the Intermediate Event symbol.
