File Watcher

The File Watcher can be quite useful in application integration, by monitoring incoming data files and raising events. It listens to the file system change notifications and raises events when a file(s) in a directory changes. The component can watch files on a local computer or a network drive.

The File Watcher raises events when a file is created, renamed, updated or deleted from the specified folder. The File Watcher continuously monitors one or more folders and raises events whenever the above mentioned file activities occur.

The File Watcher applications:

  1. It can be configured to watch for new files, renames, changes and deletes.

  2. Quickly and easily triggers workflows which are associated to the File Watcher Event.

  3. It can watch multiple files at the same time.

  4. Multiple folders can be added to the File Watcher list.

  5. It can watch folders which present in the local system or in the network path.

  6. It raises four events namely Created, Changed, Deleted, and Renamed.
