The option Work Items, allows you to replace an actor to whom the work item is assigned with an alternate actor.
Functionality

If no work items are assigned to the User to be Replaced either through Web Channel or Mail Channel, then a message User is not a part of this artifact is displayed.

To re-assign the work items of the User to be Replaced to different users, you have to user the Manage Work Items feature available through Tools > Manage Work items.

To re-assign the work items of the User to be Replaced to the same user, you can use this Replace User feature.
