BPMN End Event with Link

The End Event with Link represents the type of event that creates a link. It is denoted by a right-pointing arrow superimposed on the End Event symbol, i.e. the circle with thick outline.

Mapping of Visio BPMN Event to the AVEVA Work Tasks Activity

The End Event with the Link result attribute is mapped to the Link Source Activity, which is represented by a circle similar to the End Activity but filled with yellow and superimposed with a right-pointing arrow similar to the corresponding BPMN notation.

The following mapping will be used during the conversion:

• Only the End Events with the Link result attribute and no outlinks will be mapped to the Link Source Activity.

• The Link ID is mapped to the Link Identifier parameter of the Link Source Activity, which is used by the Link Target Activity to make the connection.

Validation

• Outlinks (links originating from the activity) are not allowed from the Link Source Activity.

• Link Identifier is mandatory.
