Upgrade in Silent Mode

Server Machine

You can upgrade to AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R3 in silent mode using the installer. After the assemblies and related resources are upgraded, you have to upgrade the Farm database, Repository database, and all the required configurations in silent mode, using AVEVAWorkTasksSilentUpgradeManager.exe.

Client Machine

You can upgrade the client machines in silent mode using AVEVAWorkTasksSilentUpgradeManager.exe. This EXE automatically detects whether the machine is a server or a client and then does the changes accordingly. After the upgrade is complete, Central Configuration and Enterprise Console are upgraded with the latest changes.

To upgrade in Silent Mode

1. Open the Command Prompt in the Administrative mode.

2. Enter the path for the "Bin" folder, which is available in the path where the product is installed, and then press Enter.

   For example: CD <AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R3 Install Path>\Bin

3. On the Command Prompt, type AVEVAWorkTasksSilentUpgradeManager.exe.

   The progress of the upgrade is displayed in the WTLogger Console.
