AVEVA™ Work Tasks

AIM Authentication for Controls in InTouch HMI

You can use AVEVA Identity Manager (AIM) authentication for AVEVA Work Tasks Controls in InTouch HMI. To enable AIM authentication, ensure that in Central Configuration when the Resource Provider is set to Active Directory, the Use Token Service is set to the appropriate server. Otherwise, the control will be loaded within the context of the default user, if specified. If the default user is not specified, then the control will be loaded within the context of the user who configured the workflow gateway.

Note:
- Ensure to import the ArchestrA app before configuring AIM for InTouch HMI.
- When using AIM authentication for controls in InTouch HMI, ensure all controls are configured for AIM authentication.
- When the InTouch HMI window having AVEVA Work Tasks control is opened for the first time, it navigates to AIM authentication page. After providing the credentials, it authenticates with AIM, and on successful authentication, the controls get loaded.
- If multiple controls are placed in a single InTouch HMI window, then for the first time you may see AIM authentication page on each AVEVA Work Tasks controls. To avoid authenticating each control, do as follows:
-- Open a single AVEVA Work Tasks control in the InTouch HMI window.
-- After AIM authentication with one control, close the window, and then re-open it.
