Troubleshoot an accounting close - partially closed objects

This error indicates that the accounting object that you are attempting to close is connected to partially closed objects for the previous close period.

Use the Accounting Close Summary to view the higher-level objects connected to the one you are trying to close to determine the objects that have Close State = P.

Once you have located the objects that need to be closed:

1. Right-click on the row with Close State = P

2. Set the close date to the Last Close Period End in the partially closed row

3. Select OK to close the partially closed objects

   Note: Closing the highest connected object in the hierarchy (for example, Company) will close all connected accounting objects in the balance hierarchy that aren't already closed.
