Enter daily data

  • Last UpdatedSep 24, 2024
  • 2 minute read

Daily data can be entered and viewed through the Third Party Meter User Entry window.

The system automatically calculates the energy if the Calculate Energy checkbox is selected. If the Calculate Energy checkbox is cleared, the system will calculate the heating value.

Data entered at a daily granularity will sum up into the monthly Volume or Energy.

  • If the entered Volume is greater than zero, entering a daily Heating Value, Pressure or Temperature will perform a flow weighted average into the corresponding monthly value.

  • If the Volume is equal to zero, entering a daily Heating Value, Pressure, or Temperature will perform conventional averaging into the corresponding monthly value.

If the daily Volume is equal to zero, the daily Energy and Heating Value will be zero as well. However, the daily Pressure and Temperature will maintain their value.

Note: If you enter daily data, the monthly data is automatically calculated. It is possible to edit the automatically-generated monthly data, but this will alter the daily values that were entered previously.

To enter daily data on the Third Party Meter User Entry window

  1. Select a meter from the Meter Name dropdown list box.

Note: The list provided is limited to meters with a Metering Method of Manual.

  2. Select Refresh to select the Month and Year.

  3. In the appropriate columns, enter the volume, the energy or heating value, pressure, and temperature.

    1. If the Calculate Energy checkbox is cleared, the heating value is calculated.

    2. If the Calculate Energy checkbox is selected, the energy value is calculated.

    3. Pressure value is used for reference only.

    4. Temperature value is used for reference only.

  4. Select the Observed checkbox to mark the data as observed edit state.

This means that the data is the original data from the field and should be used during close. If this field is not selected, the data is given an edit state of user estimated. In other words, the real data is not available and the values that appear are temporary data used until the real data arrives.

  5. Select Save to save the data.

  6. Select OK.

  7. Refresh the screen to view the data containing the new information.

Note: When you save the data, the Heating Value is not saved. It is displayed/calculated for display purposes only.

Information that has been modified is indicated by a Y in the Modified column.
