AVEVA™ Measurement Advisor

MTR estimation (LaggedAlternate) tab

  • Last UpdatedNov 18, 2025

The Lagged Alternate Estimate uses measurement data acquired from another, similar meter reading to compensate for a gap, or a lag, in the data collection.

The Lagged Alternate Estimate is configured to use the data at the exact time when the data has lagged. If there is no data at that precise time, the most recent valid data starting at the exact lagged time is used. A factor and an offset can be specified that will be applied to the alternate meter reading values. The calculation for the factor and offset applied to the alternate meter reading values is as follows:

To configure the Meter Properties to perform a Lagged Alternate Estimation

  1. In the Properties for Meter dialog, navigate to the MTR Estimation (LaggedAlternate) tab.

  2. In the Periods text box, enter the number of periods in the past to search for the data to be used in the estimation.

Note: If your Source Meter is the same as the Meter which you are editing, you will receive a warning message if you set the Periods to zero. However, you will not be prevented from saving your changes.

  3. In the Factor text box, enter the factor that should be used to correct the data.

  4. Select the Source Meter icon ( ) to select the Meter from which the estimated data should be created.

  5. Select the Source Station icon ( ) to select the Source Station from which the estimated data should be created.

  6. Select the Use Exact Time checkbox to ensure that only the data from the time period in which there was a lag was used to create the estimate.
