Migrate your custom configuration

Before starting the data migration, you will need to update the AVEVA Measurement Advisor database to install all custom configurations, including any extra columns that have been enabled or added to your on-premises system. The migration of your custom overrides to the cloud database needs to be done using the MeasConfig utility. The overrides in each custom file will need to be manually entered. For more information, see Use the MeasConfig tool to make updates to the object registry.

1. Obtain copies of your custom override files from the following directory for your existing system: C:\AVEVA\DNA\MeasurementAdvisor\config\setup\objectRegFiles\Custom

2. Open the MeasConfig utility, and connect to your tenant in the cloud.

3. For overrides in the server override files:

   1. Open the tab for the table pertaining to the custom override. Set the module to the server (CLOUDDB) option.

   2. Make the edits to the rows that were changed in the file.

   3. Save the changes.

4. For new custom configurations:

   4. Add a New Module for your custom overrides.

   5. Open the tab for the table pertaining to the custom override.

   6. Insert the rows with the override information from the file.

   7. Save the changes.

5. Save all changes.

6. Run MeasUpdate to install the configuration changes and to add any extra columns to the database.
