Expectations and limitations

The following expectations and limitations should be considered for this release:

  • VMGThermo is not available for hydrocarbon dewpoint calculations. Only the Groupe Européen de Recherches Gazières 2008 (GERG-08) and Peng-Robinson calculations provided in the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Reference Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties Database (NIST REFPROP) are supported.

New features and enhancements

  • It is now possible to remove configured properties for a feature after it has been disabled in configDesc. Previously, this action caused foreign key constraint errors during configuration loading. The removal process requires two steps, which are outlined in Turning off unused AVEVA Measurement Advisor features:

    — Disable the feature in the configDesc.

    — As an Administrator, delete its associated properties with the new Delete Object Item Admin menu option.

  • In conjunction with your current-version AVEVA Enterprise SCADA install, it is now possible to account for the following elements when performing Zone or Host-Calculated Analysis activities for gas quality records in both AVEVA Measurement Advisor and the AVEVA Measurement Advisor Data Connector for Autosol Communication Manager (ACM):

    • Carbonyl Sulfide

    • Mercaptans

    • Un-normalized Total

    • Mole Total

    • Supercompressibility

  • The following windows have been added to the AVEVA Measurement Advisor client:

    • Under the Admin menu:

      • User event summary, which collates a list of activities users perform or experience in AVEVA Measurement Advisor in the event that the feature is turned on. For more information, see User event summary.

      • Currently logged in, which provides a list of AVEVA Measurement Advisor users who are presently signed in, in the event the feature is turned on. For more information, see Currently logged in.

      • Find and delete objects, which allows you to search for an object's data. It also allows you to delete the data or the object itself. For more information, see Find or delete objects.

      • Trace processing on object, which allows you to record the object's data flow through the measurement system. For more information, see Trace processing on objects.

      • Sightline performance, which lists user-initiated actions and database call performance details for the application. For more information, see Sightline performance viewer.

    • Under the Queues menu:

      • Station volumes, which displays stations that have data waiting to be rebalanced. For more information, see Station volumes.

      • Balancing, which displays a summary of any pending balance requests for line segments. For more information, see Balancing.

      • Late data, which displays the objects that have the late data check enabled and have rows that are currently waiting to be estimated. For more information, see Late data summary window.

      • Missing data, which displays information about processing of rows with gaps in the data timeline. For more information, see Missing data window.

      • Predictions, which displays meters that are currently waiting for predictions to be calculated. For more information, see Predictions window.

  • MeasFileImport is now available to load data from files into the cloud. This includes the following features and corresponding documentation:

  • The new Meter volume reports provide detailed insights into meter readings, including data segmented by metering method, the gas quality (GQ) used, calculation configurations, and station-specific information. Additionally, simplified versions of the report are available, which would be ideal for printing or sharing via email with customers. For more information, see AVEVA Measurement Advisor reports.

  • Documentation on the CX Plus calculation has been improved and condensed, and it now includes more detail on how the C6 Plus value is calculated. For more information, see Gas quality tab / Analysis component spreading / Spread Cplus enabled.

Resolved issues

  • Case - 960430245 (Defect - 3395844) - EFMxfer_getEffectiveItems stored procedure numericSetCode type mismatch: This defect fix addresses an issue where the expected type in the EFMxfer_getEffectiveItems stored procedure for numericSetCode (of the numericSetDesc table) was incorrect.

  • Case - 960466980 (Defect - 3560794) - GPSContext queue is not cleaned up during the linepack delta calculation: This defect fix addresses an issue where the linepackDeltaCalc stored procedure postpones the linepack recalculation requests for the meter when there is any type of request that has the same timestamp. Now, the procedure has been fixed so that when postponing the request, the associated GPScontext record is deleted when the operationRequestQueue request is stored for processing later.

  • Case - 960538829 (Defect - 3848510) - Issues running bulk revert with a history granularity change in the Revert Start/End window: This defect fix addresses an issue with duplicate rows when running Bulk Revert when a history granularity change occurred at the beginning of the Revert Start/End window.

  • Case - 960568871 (Defect - 3843777) - Incorrect expiry time after changing data-time effective configuration of meter/gas quality in the client: This defect fix addresses an issue where AVEVA Measurement Advisor would display the incorrect expiry time after changing the date-time effective properties of an object. Now, the correct expiry time is displayed.

  • Case - 960568836 (Defect - 3919421) - Unhandled exception when navigating between Calculator tabs and closing the window: This defect fix addresses an issue where an unhandled exception would occur when navigating between Calculator tabs and proceeding to close the window.

  • Case - 960570372 (Defect - 3882573) - Exception when exiting the Gas calculator: This defect fix addresses issues related to changing dates in the Date Time Range dialog used by many of the AVEVA Measurement Advisor forms (for example, the Meter and Gas Quality Data Editor) and the Date Time dialog used to specify a single date (for example, in the Properties and Summary windows). Now, you can select and modify individual date components (day, month, year) independently, and make changes to the date with no impact on the time.

    A few changes to note:

    • The Date format delimiters—a space, dash, colon or slash—can be used to move to the next Date element.

    • Two-digit years are handled as follows:

      • First digit 6–9: Interpreted as 19xx.

      • First digit 0–3: Interpreted as 20xx.

Note: Digits 4–5 are ignored to prevent invalid dates.

    • Now, copying a date and pasting it into the date component does not update the time (unless the time was included in the text that was pasted).

Note: The time component does not support copy/paste.

    • The month selection dialog now has the proper tab order.

  • Case - 960614636 (Defect - 3982360/3979794) - Unable to configure automatic gas quality (GQ) downloads on coriolis metering type: This defect fix addresses an issue where Automatic Gas Quality Downloads could not be configured for Coriolis meters. This property is now available in AVEVA Measurement Advisor. It is turned off by default.

If you need to turn on the Automatic GQ Download setting for your Coriolis EFM meter, see Configure the Coriolis EFM tab.

For AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Gas, Coriolis meters can now be configured for automatic GQ download in AVEVA Measurement Advisor .

For the AVEVA Measurement Advisor , the interface previously defaulted to enable an automatic Gas Quality (GQ) download if there wasn't a property available for configuration.

Now, by default, Coriolis meters do not allow automatic GQ downloads. If you have existing Coriolis meters, verify that each meter is configured as needed.

  • Case - 960638525 (Defect - 4048002) - Linepack EFM Volume Delta does not calculate if the record is entered using the raw table APIs: This defect fix addresses an issue where the Linepack EFM Volume Delta calculation was not raised after the Precalc Validation stage. This caused issues where instantaneous volume was provided but the volume was not calculated when it was null. The Client application was also not calculating the volume correctly when the instantaneous volume was entered.

  • Case - N/A (Defect - 4040818) - Input routine writeCombinedMtrConfigGQRecord is missing columns/values: This defect fix addresses an issue where the writeCombinedMtrConfigGQRecord stored procedure was missing GQ parameters. To address this, S2, C6, waterVaporFactor and waterDewpoint parameters have been added to the procedure. In addition, any extra GQ columns defined in the tableColumnDesc table will be added as well.

  • Case - 960637057 (Defect - 4067226) - Sightline throws exception when double clicking DPKey table in Queues: This defect fix addresses an issue where, when double-clicking the DPkey tables in the All Queues window, the client application would raise an error.

  • Case - N/A (Defect - 4124391) - Energy calculated during an edit to meter volume is stored at users precision profile digit configuration: This defect fix addresses an issue where the rounding of energy values is now applied only in the Client for display purposes. The full precision now continues to be stored in the database.

  • Case - N/A (Defect - 4221833) - Sightline does not show audit history for the close group property associated with the Measurement Station: This defect fix addresses an issue where the audit history was unavailable for close group property associated with the Measurement Station.

  • Case - 962478757 (Defect - 4294982) - writeObjectEventByName fails due to change in order of parameters to writeObjectEvent: This defect fix addresses an issue where writeObjectEventByName due to a change in order of parameters. Now, it has been resolved, and will correctly call writeObjectEvent.
