AVEVA™ Measurement Advisor

New row / new missing row

The Meter Data Editor window allows you to enter new rows of data as observed or as user estimates.

Note: You must have Meas Data Entry Meter permissions.

New Row

New Row will enter blank rows of data for each of the intervals of the granularity. Split records may be created at the beginning and/or end of the specified range. If you do not enter any information into these blank rows, they are not saved to the database.

It is possible to insert rows that are not at the primary granularity.

However, there is a configDesc setting available that will prevent you from inserting rows that are not at the primary granularity. If CD_REJECT_NON_PRIMARY_GRANULARITY is turned on, rows that are not of the primary granularity will be rejected.

For example, if you are currently displaying hourly data, blank rows will be added for each of the hours in the specified range. If data exists for that time, a blank row is added to replace the existing row. This will allow you to overwrite an observed data row with another observed data row.

New Missing Row

New Missing Row operates in the same manner as New Row, with the following exception: if a row already exists for that time, a new blank row will not be inserted.
