Drill down from the Balance data window

It is possible to drill down for a closer look at your Balance Data for each Company, Region and Subregion, allowing you to view the source data for the balance.

For example, if you selected a Company data record, you would be able to see each data layer in the following order:

• Region data

• Subregion data

• Line Segment data

If you selected a record from the Region data, you would see the child Subregion and Line Segment data.

Note: Certain data qualities are reported from the Balance Data window. If the data has been designated as Invalid, marked as Flagged, or Estimated, this information will appear in the Data Status Color you have chosen for that data status.

To drill down from your Balance Data window

1. Navigate to one of the following windows:

   • Balancing > Company Summary

   • Balancing > Region Summary

   • Balancing > Subregion Summary

   • Balancing > Line Segment Summary

2. Do one of the following:

   • Double-click on the row.

   • Right-click and select Balance Data.

     The Balance Data for your balancing object appears.

     

3. To drill down for a closer look at the lower-level balance data, do one of the following:

   • Select Expand All which will expand all rows present in the grid view to their lowest-possible level.

     Note:Expand All may take a few minutes if there are a large number of child rows.

   • Select to expand the row.

   • Select the row header and select Expand. This will expand child rows to the lowest possible level.

   • When there are no selected rows, it will expand the active row.

     • It is possible to Shift and select multiple rows and then select Expand to view only those rows.

4. To hide the data after you have viewed it, do one of the following:

   • Select Collapse All to collapse all of the rows in the grid up to the parent record, so that only the parent record is listed.

   • Select to collapse the row.

   • Select the row header and select Collapse, which will collapse the selected row(s).

   • If there are no selected rows, it will collapse the active row.

     • It is possible to Shift and select multiple rows and then select Collapse to collapse only those rows.
