  1. On the Meter Config tab, select the metering method dropdown to configure the type of meter.

  2. On the Meter Config tab, select the Volumetric Calculation dropdown to configure the desired calculation method. Choices available depend on the metering method that has been selected.

  3. On the Calculator, select the Meter Data tab.

  4. Enter values into the desired fields of the Meter Data tab to populate the In and Both fields.

  5. At a minimum, the following fields on the Meter Data tab need to be populated:

    • Pressure

    • Temperature

    • Differential Pressure (orifice meter)

    • Pulse Count (turbine or other linear meter)

    • Flow Time

Meter calculations will not rely on estimated data that has not been accepted.

The Static Pressure setting in the Meter Config tab is only used for data from the field. It is not used in the Meter Data Editor window or the Calculator, which rely on the static pressure setting of the Unit Profile to make calculations.

Note: Inlet/outlet pressures are converted from gauge to absolute before calculation of the average pressure for a line pack meter.

  6. (Optional) Select Details to view more information about the calculation.

Selecting Details will bring up the Calculation Debugging dialog. Defining the debug level will allow you to select how much information you would like to see presented in the log. Using the Calculation Debugging tool provides the Administrator with information about the unit conversion methods employed, as well as the intermediate values used in the calculation.

  7. Select Calculate.

The calculated values appear in the appropriate Out fields (Out and Both).
