The Measurement Connectivity window describes the connections between the following objects:
-
Measuring Sites
-
Measuring Stations
-
Measurement Points
-
Meters
-
Gas Qualities (GQs)
The connections are date-time effective, with the exception of the station to site connection.
The term, Measuring Station, is used to represent a physical or logical grouping of measuring point entities used in flow totals and balancing. The term, Measuring Site, represents a grouping of measuring station entities. Measuring stations are assigned to measuring sites when they are configured. For more information, see Measuring station.
In balancing, measuring stations are set up as being either additive or subtractive. Each measuring station's net flow is either added to or subtracted from that measuring site. After accounting for line-pack, the net inflow for any given measuring site should be equal to the outflow.
Flow volumes taken from measuring points are summed together. For example, a group of six orifice plate meters in parallel may be the basis for a measuring station. Measuring points are set up as either additive or subtractive for a given measuring station. Meter types (GQ or gas flow) are assigned to the measuring points.
