This section describes the steps for importing one or more configuration override files. You need to first set up the import and then save and load the import file(s) into the database. You can import into existing modules or set up a new module.

Before the import

In MeasConfig, save any unsaved changes. Otherwise, the import procedure will overwrite your current unsaved changes.

To import into existing modules

  1. In the Select Table Tab, select the table(s) to receive the import(s). For more information, see Select a table.

A Table Tab displays for each table selected.

  2. In the Table Tab for each table, select Import.

    A file location dialog appears.

  3. Enter the name and location of the file to be imported. The file must be in .xml format, and the filename must contain the module the data will be imported for in this format: tablename.module.xml.

  4. Select OK.

The configuration overrides in the .xml file load into MeasConfig in the appropriate rows under the Table Tab. The rows with overrides are highlighted in red.

  5. After repeating Steps 2 – 4 for each table, review your changes for accuracy. For more information, see Insert a new row and/or Edit existing table entries.

  6. If you wish to proceed with the import, select the Save and Load tab.

  7. Select Save (All).

    Confirm the save.

Your overrides are saved to the configuration files.

  8. Select Update Database. For more information, see Save and load configuration changes.

Your overrides are saved to the database. View the output from the database update by selecting Read Update Log to confirm the upload is successful.
